Opening hours – the school day

Gates and Doors Open – 8.30am

The gates and doors will be open from 8.30 am when children can come into school. Parents should leave children at the gate where members of staff will greet them and take responsibility for them. Reception parents may enter the reception outside area and take their children to meet their teacher.

Registration and Official Start Time – 8.45am

All children should be in school by 8.45am when the register will be taken. Gates and doors will be secured at this time. Pupilis who arrive after this time should enter school via the main entrance and sign in using the interactive screen.

Breaktime for All Classes other than Reception – 10.30am- 10.45am

Infants are provided with free fruit at breaktime.
Juniors can buy snacks from the school kitchen.

Snack and Playtime for Reception – 10am – 10.15am

Please provide a bottle of plain water for this time as well as for access throughout the day. Fruit and milk are provided by school but fruit of your child’s choice may be brought from home. (Milk is provided free until your child is 5)

Lunchtime for Infants – 12pm – 12.45pm

Lunchtime for Juniors – 12.15pm – 1pm

School Closes – 3.15pm

School closes at 3.15pm for all children. Parents of reception and year 2 children should wait by the outside classroom doors. Parents of all other children should wait on the infant playground, which is accessed via the side gate.

The total number of hours school is open each week is 32.5 hours.
